Long Island's South Shore, curated weekly
South Shore Digest guide · updated for 2026
A few Tuesdays each summer, downtown Bay Shore trades its evening quiet for live music and a street full of neighbors. Alive by the Bay is Bay Shore's premier summer festival series, and it has been bringing Main Street to life since 2017.
Four stages of live music spread across downtown Bay Shore, plus food and drink from local restaurants, vendors, and family-friendly fun. Music kicks off at 6 PM. It is put on by the Bay Shore Restaurant Committee together with the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Bay Shore, and it is one of the easiest ways to spend a summer evening on the South Shore.
Four Tuesdays, four stages, all showtimes at 6 PM.
Bay Shore knows how to do a summer night, and Alive by the Bay is the proof. See you on Main Street.
