Babylon Free Outdoor Movie Nights 2026: Tanner Park Mondays + the Beach

A blanket, a bag of snacks, and a movie under the sky: the Town of Babylon runs free outdoor movie nights all summer, per the town's published 2026 Recreation Guide. Most are Mondays on the lawn at the Tanner Park bandshell in Copiague; a couple land right on the sand at Overlook Beach. Every one is free.

Mondays at Tanner Park

Movies start after sunset on the bandshell lawn. Free for all residents; rain dates announced if needed.

• Monday, July 20 - Aladdin (starts around 8:30 PM)
• Monday, July 27 - Mamma Mia! (around 8:25 PM)
• Monday, August 3 - Shrek (around 8:20 PM)
• Monday, August 17 - Guardians of the Galaxy (around 8:15 PM - note: this one is at Phelps Lane Park)

Movie night on the beach

• Monday, August 10 - Moana at Overlook Beach, after sunset (around 8:15 PM). The Overlook Beach Club stays open for snacks and food during the movie. Jaws opened the beach series back in June - yes, they really showed Jaws on a beach.

A few neighborly tips

• Free entry, no tickets. Chairs and blankets are all you need; snacks welcome.
• Start times drift earlier as the summer goes on - the movie starts when the sun is down, so the "around" times above are the town's own estimates.
• Prefer live music to movies? The same parks host the free summer concert series two or three nights a week.

Five more free movie nights before the season is out. The couch will still be there in September.
