This Weekend's Top Picks

This Weekend's Top Picks in Bay Shore: Walker Beach Family Nights (Thursday 6:00PM).

Walker Beach Family Nights

Thursday, July 2, 6:00PM  |  Walker Beach, Brightwaters

Brightwaters salutes America's 250th the way the village does best — down on the bay at sunset, with live music on the sand (Johnny Ray opens the season), food trucks, and neighbors in beach chairs. Bring a blanket and dinner, or grab a bite on-site. It runs every Thursday through August. Note: Walker Beach is a village beach, so passes may be checked — worth a quick call to the village before you head down.

For Families

For Families in Bay Shore this weekend: Brightwaters America 250 Family Picnic at Gilbert Park (Friday 6:00PM).

Brightwaters America 250 Family Picnic

Friday, July 3, 6:00PM  |  Gilbert Park, Brightwaters

A hometown village picnic for America's 250th, kicking off the weekend in the park — and take a slow drive through Brightwaters to see the streets dressed up for the village's Patriotic House Decorating Contest.
