Sayville Summerfest 2026: Your Three-Day Guide to Downtown Sayville

Some festivals rent a parking lot. Sayville Summerfest takes the whole downtown. Since 1979, the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce has closed out the heart of summer by turning Main Street, Gillette Park, and the Common Ground into one big three-day festival, and the 2026 edition lands Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9.

The shape of the weekend: carnival rides and games at Gillette Park, live music running on four stages, craft and food vendors through the park and along the street, a beer and wine tent at the Common Ground, a 4 mile run Saturday morning, and hundreds of classic cars parked down Main Street on Sunday.

Hours

• Friday, August 7: 5:00 to 10:00 PM
• Saturday, August 8: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Sunday, August 9: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Craft vendors set up Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the park vendors run Friday evening through Sunday.

The four stages

Live music runs all weekend across four spots: the Beer Tent Stage at the Common Ground, the main stage at Gillette Park, a corner stage at Candee Avenue and Main, and the Chase Bank steps on Main Street. The chamber posts set times for every act on its Instagram, and notes the musical lineup can shift, so check @sayvillechamber before you build your night around one band.

Friday, August 7

Friday is the kickoff night, with the rides running and two stages going.

• Beer Tent Stage: Long Way Home, then Spinderella and the Posers close the night
• Gillette Park main stage: Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks, then Broken Nails after dark

Saturday, August 8

The biggest day of the weekend starts with sneakers, not amps. The Kids Fun Run goes off at 8:45 AM and the Hon. John Cohalan Summerfest 4 Mile Run follows at 9:30 AM, with the awards handed out at the beer tent afterward. Then the music takes over, four stages deep into the night.

• Main Street Chase Bank steps: Airlea Deutscher, Ali Vlachos, Ben and Jerry

Sunday, August 9

Sunday belongs to the Classic Car Show: hundreds of cars take over Main Street from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with DJ Night Train spinning at Sparrow Park, and the road stays closed into the late afternoon. The music keeps rolling on all four stages.

• Beer Tent Stage: Patrice Ryan, 10 Cent Redemption, Visco and McNeill and Friends Band, and Shecky and the Twangtones to close the festival
• Gillette Park main stage: Lilly Pallili and Cosplay with Lisa Polizzi, Grand Folk Railroad, Nick Russell, Bella Denapoli, Lydia Von Hof
• Candee Avenue and Main: Gail Storm Trio, Team Bohemia, Parker James and Charlie Duplessis

Rides, food, and the beer tent

Admission is free; you pay for what you ride and what you eat. The rides come from Newton Shows, and the way to do it is a POP bracelet: pay one price, ride all day. Bracelets are sold each day of the festival, and buying online in advance through Newton Shows costs less than buying at the gate. The beer and wine tent at the Common Ground pours all three days, and the food runs from carnival classics to a full spread of local vendors.

A few neighborly tips

• Buy the ride bracelet online before you go. Same bracelet, better deal, one less line.
• Saturday morning is the run. If you are not racing, Main Street is the place to cheer; if you are, registration details are on the chamber's page.
• Sunday, plan your parking around the car show. Main Street closes for the cars from mid-morning and stays closed until about 5:00 PM.
• No outside alcohol anywhere at the festival. The beer tent has you covered.
• The music schedule is the chamber's to change. Their Instagram has the current set times for all four stages.

Three days, four stages, one downtown. Sayville has been throwing this party since 1979, and it shows no sign of slowing down.
