Babylon Beach Blast 2026: Fireworks Night at Overlook Beach

Once a summer, the Town of Babylon turns Overlook Beach into a full-day party and closes it with fireworks over the Great South Bay. The 2026 edition lands Saturday, August 15, and it is the 32nd year the town has run it, per the published 2026 Recreation Guide. It is free for residents, and it is the kind of day you plan nothing else around.

The day, hour by hour

• 1:00 PM - Beach games get things going on the sand.
• 4:00 PM - Bouncers and inflatables open for the kids.
• 6:00 PM - Somethin' Fresh live on the beach stage. If you caught them at the town's free concert series in July, you know the energy.
• 9:00 PM - The 32nd annual fireworks go up over the water. This is the show the whole shoreline comes out for.

What to know before you go

• Overlook Beach is on Ocean Parkway; the lot fills well before the fireworks, so treat the afternoon as part of the plan, not just the 9 PM show.

The Beach Blast caps a big week at the same beach: two nights earlier, the town's free summer concert series closes its 2026 season at Overlook on Thursday, August 13 with The Say at 7 PM. Same sand, same sunset, no ticket either night.
